The Lord of the Flies

Ok, so I had a really strange dream last night. In it, there was one...thing...named the Lord of the Flies who at first was just running around gutting people with his hook hand and shoving their still warm corpses into bags after removing their insides, but then later it was realized that he was causing hell to slowly consume the earth (that was why there were all these ghosts and demons that were haunting places, which hadnt made sense in the dream before that). at one point i remember his face pushing out of a wall and him starting to climb out of it, and me trying to bind him to the wall by impailing it and him with metal rods, but he was too powerful and the rods immediately started warping. i'm pretty sure that he was supposed to be the devil on earth.

anywho, when i woke up i felt i had to draw him, so i made a 30 second sketch before i ran off to class. after getting done with all of my classes and work and math group meetings today, i came home and decided to scan in my simple and rough sketch and paint it. i've put off doing my homework for about 4 hours and this is the result. i am very happy with it as it is much more like the dream devil than my half asleep pen sketch that i started with. comments and critiques are welcomed as always.

**30 second base sketch done with stolen hotel pen on scrap sheet of computer paper, everything else done in photoshop with my wacom tablet.
***brushes used on border and on blood spatters from either nocterna.net or prettybrush.com but im not sure which
****no music on whilst drawing this cause my roommate was doing homework, but i had lots of slipknot running through my head
